Tom Sox drop 4th straight late to Covington

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- A late ninth inning rally from Covington gives the Lumberjacks the 6-5 win and the Tom Sox their fourth straight loss.

Covington started off with a two-run home run by Matt Cocciadiferro in the top of the first. The Tom Sox answered though with back-to-back RBI doubles by Walker Imwalle and Kevin Madden. The Tom Sox eventually took the lead on an RBI-sac fly from Ramon Garza in the fourth inning.

The Lumberjacks loaded the bases in the top of the ninth though, with Dominic Boselli bringing in three runs on a line drive double to put Covington up 6-4.

The Tom Sox drop to 6-5 on the season and host Purcellville on Sunday at 3 p.m.
