Tom Sox edge out Lumberjacks

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 Sports) -- The Tom Sox continue onto a three-game win streak after beating the Covington Lumberjacks on Friday night.

Charlottesville got on the board early, getting the go-ahead run in the bottom of the first. Christian Hilinka with the RBI single to right field.

Going into the 5th inning, the Tom Sox lead 3-1 after a pair of hits from Alex Fedje-Johnson and Cal Greenfield. The Lumberjacks would respond in the top of the 5th inning, tying the game with hits on an error and a failed double-play ball at home.

The 7th inning would bring the game-winning run: a deep double from Thomas Francisco, driving in Cayman Richardson. Tom Sox would win 4-3.

The Tom Sox return home to host the Winchester Royals before going on a six day road trip.
