Tom Sox pick up 20th win on the season

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Tom Sox won their 4th straight Saturday night 11-1 over Winchester, giving Charlottesville 20 wins on the season.

Thomas Francisco opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with an RBI-single, extending his hit streak to tie the team record at 17 games. The Tom Sox stretched the lead out in the fourth on a two-run home run by Brock Edge.

Francisco lead the Tom Sox with three RBI on the night on three hits. The Tom Sox pitching staff held the Royals to one run on seven hits.

The Sox sit in second place in the Valley League South standings before a three game road trip starting Sunday at the North leading Strasburg Express.
