Two tied for the lead after day one of City Championship

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Two players found themselves atop the leaderboard after day one of the Charlottesville City Amateur Championship with a host of players on their heels.

Former William Monroe and Virginia Tech standout Mikey Moyers finished the day at a 3-under 68 on day one at Meadowcreek Golf Course. Moyers tied Fluvanna County 15-year-old Killian Donnelly, who also shot a 3-under 68.

Former champion Philip Mahone trails the leaders by one stroke after shooting a 2-under 69. Steve DeMasters and Scott Garrison round out the five players who finished under par, both shooting a 1-under 70. Defending City Champion Taylor Ratliff sits in tenth place after finishing 3-over par.
