Virginia stays unbeaten with intrastate win

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia women's tennis jumped out to a 4-0 lead and cruised to a 5-2 win over Richmond Tuesday afternoon at Boar's Head.

After taking the doubles point, Vivian Glozman raced to a 6-0, 6-1 win on court three to give the Cavaliers a 2-0 lead. Moments later, Hunter Bleser picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win to give the Cavaliers a 3-0 lead.

Meghan Kelley played on court one against the Spiders, picking up a 6-2, 6-0 win. The win on court one clinched the match against Richmond.

The Cavaliers opened the season with a three-game homestand, which came to an end against Richmond. Virginia travels to Oklahoma State this weekend for the ITA kickoff event.
