Wahoo fans chant for players to stay "one more year"

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- When Ty Jerome was asked on stage what Virginia fans should remember most about him, fans responded with their own answer.

"One more year, one more year," fans chanted, which brought a smile to Jerome's face.

Jerome eventually responded they should remember him being a good teammate, a good person off the court and as a national champion. So Virginia fans are still wondering about the futures of Jerome and sophomore De'Andre Hunter.

Both Jerome and Hunter are ranked among the top-30 projected prospects on ESPN's NBA Draft Big Board. College players have until April 22nd to enter their name in the draft and have until May 30th to decide whether to stay in the draft or withdraw their names.

While it is a question on fans' minds, Coach Tony Bennett says that he has not thought much about next year or who will be back.

"Those decisions will all come," Bennett said in a press conference after the celebration. "This is even today at all what it's about. We always want what's best for our guys and what this group of young men have brought to me, to our staff, to this university and this community, we'll all be forever grateful for them and we just want what is best."

Virginia's lone senior Jack Salt did announce at Saturday's celebration he had signed with an agent with hopes of playing professionally.
