Wahoos add junior college shooter for next season

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Virginia men's basketball team lost a combined 245 3-pointers from this past season when Kyle Guy, Ty Jerome and De'Andre Hunter all entered their names in the NBA Draft.

The NCAA champs hope they regained some of those long-range shots on Wednesday.

Guard Tomas Woldetensae, a 6-5 native of Italy who played the past two seasons at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa, committed to the Cavaliers on Wednesday. A junior college All-American this past season, Woldetensae led Warriors in scoring at 17.3 points per game last season, and made 100 3-pointers while shooting 47.6 percent from beyond the line.

Woldetensae played two seasons at Indian Hills. He'll have two years of eligibility left when he arrives at UVA.
