DURHAM, N.C. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Virginia baseball team has at least two more opportunities to strengthen its NCAA Tournament resume this week in Durham. The first will come Wednesday night.
The Wahoos will face Miami at 7 p.m. Wednesday and North Carolina at 3 p.m. Thursday in Pool D play at the ACC baseball tournament. UVA is the No. 9 seed in the 12-team field, while Miami is the No. 4 seed and UNC is the No. 5 seed.
UVA finished the regular season at 32-22 overall and 14-16 in ACC play following Saturday's loss at Virginia Tech. Miami (18-12) and UNC (17-13) finished second and third in the Coastal Division, while the Wahoos finished in fifth place. The Hurricanes swept UVA at Disharoon Park during the regular season, while the Cavaliers dropped two of three against UNC in Chapel Hill.
