Wahoos snowed out, forced to adjust schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The baseball teams from Virginia and Duke will have to wait an extra day to open ACC play.

After two attempts to push first pitch back on Friday, the conference opener for both teams at Disharoon Park was ultimately snowed out and rescheduled. The teams will now play at 1 p.m. Saturday as originally scheduled, then play a doubleheader on Sunday with the first game set to start at noon.

Noah Murdock, who had been scheduled to pitch Friday, will start for the Cavaliers on Saturday. Saturday's scheduled starter, Griff McGarry, and freshman Mike Vasil will pitch for the Wahoos on Sunday.
