At a meeting on Wednesday night, the Albemarle County Supervisors delayed a vote on the Pantops Ridge development. Developer Richard Spurzem wants to bring around 400 homes to the Pantops area near Hansen's Mountain Road and Route 250.

Those in favor say the plan provides additional housing options in a growth area. They add the proposal offers extra incentives for the county and the proposal would move Hansen's Mountain Road to address traffic.

However, those in opposition living on Pantops say the additional traffic would ruin their neighborhood and quality of life.

The planning staff for the county has recommended a denial of the re-zoning request. The supervisors said they didn't have enough information and decided to delay any vote.
