CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (Newsplex) -- More than 30 countries were represented at the Diversity of Cultures Festival in Charlottesville Saturday.
Performers shared stories and traditions about their culture, and there was plenty of food and activities for kids. The festival is in it's 12th year.
"I think we can really appreciate what a rich diversity we have in Charlottesville," said Zakira Beasley, Festival of Cultures Coordinator. "And we may forget that if we don't see all the representation we have all in one place in one day."
The festival was free and open to the public.
