CBS19 has confirmed that Scott Bandy, a 50-year-old Fry's Spring resident, will run for an at-large seat on Charlottesville City Council.

He has no party affiliation and will run as a independent.

Bandy does not serve on any board for the City. He is currently unemployed but worked various odds and ends jobs before that.

There will be at least two, and as many as three, vacant City Council seats up for election in November. Councilors Holly Edwards and David Brown have already announced they will not seek another term, while Satyendra Huja has not announced whether he will run for re-election.
