CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (NEWSPLEX) -- The LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph has installed its 2015 TREES exhibition along the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville.
The exhibition features 40 images shot by Harvard-based photographer and entomologist Piotr Naskrecki.
The theme of this year's exhibition is "The Smaller Majority."
"He'll tell you that the majority of the life on the planet is smaller than the size of the human finger and yet it has incredible impact on balancing our ecosystem," said LOOK3 executive director, Victoria Hindley of Naskrecki. "These are very important fascinating tiny creatures and all of the images that you see in the trees exhibition are extreme closeups blown up to larger than life sizes."
The TREES exhibition will be displayed along the Downtown Mall through July 9.
The official LOOK3 Festival will run from June 10 through June 13.
