A familiar name to Charlottesville will soon be relocating to the Vinegar Hill Neighborhood in different form.

The Blue Diamond Night Club will be making a comeback as the Blue Diamond Café. The venue will be making a home in the Jefferson School City Center, which is under construction.

The Blue Diamond Club was a popular attraction in the 1960's before the urbanization of Vinegar Hill.

Those helping with the cafe's comeback say the venue will offer a family setting with food and music.

"What we're doing is getting different acts and different talents. No matter what you are doing, if you can entertain people, then that is what we want," said organizer Curtis Gilmore Jr.

Organizers say the new Blue Diamond Café will hopefully draw people from all backgrounds.

The café will open inside of the Jefferson School City Center, which is schedule to open in December.
