STAB's Tinsley Commits to JMU

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (NEWSPLEX) -- St. Anne's Belfield junior Brianna Tinsley plans to be the next point guard to play for former Waynesboro High School standout Kenny Brooks at James Madison.

Tinsley has committed to play for Brooks at JMU, a source with the Dukes confirmed to CBS19 Sports on Sunday. Tinsley averaged 15.2 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.4 steals as a sophomore for the Saints last season.

JMU has won four of the last six CAA championships, including the last two in a row. They're coached by Brooks, a former all-state guard at Waynesboro who played point guard at JMU, and is now in his 14th season as coach of the Dukes.
