CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- This month, New City Arts and the Haven are holding an art auction to benefit the Housing2Home program.

On Friday, the organizations announced that Kehinde Wiley has put a statue up for sale in the live auction, which will take place Jan. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Common House.

Wiley is known for creating the Rumors of War sculpture that was recently installed at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond as well as pieces of former President Barack Obama.

The statue that is up for auction is called Saint Francis of Adelaide.

Wiley says he will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the auction to the Housing2Home program.

There are 15 items for sale in the live auction and another 42 that are being sold in a silent auction, which will also be held Jan. 18 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Old Metropolitan Hall.
