After helping Clemson win in Chapel Hill for the first time ever on Saturday, junior forward Aamir Simms was honored by he ACC on Monday.

Simms was named the league's co-Player of the Week for his performance at North Carolina. The Blue Ridge School graduate finished with a team-high 20 points in the 79-76 victory, including a 3-pointer with 3.5 seconds left in regulation that forced overtime. Simms scored the Tigers' final 10 points in regulation, and scored or assisted on six of the team's nine points in overtime.

Simms also led Clemson in rebounds (8), assists (6), blocks (4) and steals (3) against the Tar Heels. The Tigers had been 0-59 in Chapel Hill prior to the victory.

Simms is leading Clemson in scoring (13.9 ppg), rebounding (7.5 rpg), blocks (12) and steals (19) for the season.
