CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The University of Virginia Health System will now offer vaccines in its outpatient pharmacy at UVA’s Education Resource Center.

Appointments are available on weekdays between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Walk-ins will be available within two weeks.

Both the Pfizer and the Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be available.

UVA Health's Manager of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services Justin Vesser says this comes in light of the Delta variant.

"Delta is causing a lot of problems, there's an increase in the number of cases, increase in the demand for vaccines," he said.

Vesser says people can park for free in the Lee Street garage next to the pharmacy.

He adds that shots are still available at UVA Health's COVID clinic.
