Buckingham County man facing multiple charges in Albemarle County
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A Buckingham County man has been arrested in Albemarle County on drug and stolen property charges.
According to the Albemarle County Police Department, Laurence Edward Brooks, Jr. was arrested Wednesday.
Officers had attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was potentially stolen, but the vehicle didn't stop.
Police say the driver continued to obey the speed limits and all other traffic laws.
Officers followed the vehicle until it eventually pulled over and they were able to conduct a felony stop.
The vehicle had been reported stolen in Buckingham County on Sept. 4.
ACPD arrested Brooks on charges of possession of a Schedule 1 narcotic (methamphetamine), two counts of stolen property, and misdemeanor eluding.
Police say he is also wanted on charges from other jurisdictions.
