ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Albemarle County will be hosting a series of fall litter clean-up events, with the first one taking place Sept. 25.

This event will be held at Milton Boat Landing and Trail from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
According to a release, participants will need to park and meet at Stone-Robinson Elementary School.

This first event is being put on in partnership with the Rivanna Conservation Alliance.

The county says gloves and pickers will be provided to participants, though people will need to bring their own drinking water.

Additionally, anyone who chooses to participate in this event is urged to wear close-toed shoes and longer pants.

People will be picking up litter along small roads and trails during this event.

The county will also be sharing information about recycling programs and anti-litter awareness.
