ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Crews will be inspecting several bridges in the area next week, which may affect drivers in Albemarle County.

The Virginia Department of Transportation's Culpeper District also has some emergency repairs that will be taking place on a bridge on Interstate 64.

Those bridge deck repairs will result in alternating westbound lane closures at the bridge over Mechunk Creek between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday and Monday.

Crews will also be inspecting three Albemarle County bridges that cross the Buckingham Branch Railroad.

On Monday, crews will be looking at the bridges on Emmet Street north of Ivy Road and on Bromley Road at Ivy Road.

On Emmet Street, there will be alternating north and southbound lane closures, and on Bromley, there will be alternating east and westbound lane closures between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

 

Then on Tuesday, the bridge over the railroad on Black Cat Road will be inspected, with alternating east and westbound lane closures from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
