ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a car that was found in a pond Friday morning.

According to police, units from ACPD and the Albemarle County Department of Fire Rescue responded to the scene at the corner of Greenbrier and Hillsdale drives just after 7 a.m.

ACFR’s Water Rescue Team was able to confirm that the vehicle in the pond was unoccupied and it was removed from the water.

No injuries were reported.
