CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (CBS19 Sports) -- Fifth year attack Ashlyn McGovern was named a First-Team All-ACC selection on Tuesday, headlining a group of five Cavaliers recognized. 

McGovern has scored a goal in every game this season, tied for first on the team with 52 goals. Her goal-streak dates back to the 2021 season, scoring in 24 consecutive games. 

In the preseason, McGovern was named to the Tewaarton Award watch list, given annually to the top collegiate lacrosse player in the nation.

Two Cavaliers were named to the Second-Team All-ACC. Freshman attack Rachel Clark, who is also a member of the All-ACC Freshman team, is tied with McGovern in goals this season. Sophomore midfield Aubrey Williams is also a second-team selection.

Kate Miller and Abby Manalang also join Clark on the All-ACC Freshman team.

The Cavaliers are the No. 6 seed in the ACC Tournament which opens play on Friday. Virginia will face No. 3 Syracuse.
