FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to solve a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts.

According to a release, the incidents occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday on Jefferson Drive between the Slice and Riverside Gates in the Lake Monticello area.

There were also incidents reported in the Sycamore Square subdivision.

The sheriff’s office and the Lake Monticello Police Department have gotten about 20 separate reports for vehicles being entered, rummaged through and multiple stolen items.

One vehicle was also stolen from the Lake Monticello area, but officials report it was later found in Sycamore Square.

It is believed the incident occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The release says surveillance video appears to show two different people that may be involved.

One of them was in dark clothing with their face covered while the other was wearing light clothing with a hood and a backpack.

Anyone who has a home surveillance system is asked to review videos from the mentioned time frame to see if they caught any suspicious activity.
