ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A vigil will be held to honor all the lives lost in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The memorial will be held May 24 at the Amphitheater at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital.

Members of the community are invited to come remember loved ones and to honor those lost.

There will be time for reflection and luminary lighting.

Attendees can bring their own seating, but please do not bring any pets.

The memorial is free and open to everyone, with parking at the hospital available. Signs will direct attendees where to go.

The event will begin at 7 p.m.
