CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- People who become staff members at a summer camp could earn some extra money.

The Charlottesville Department of Parks and Recreation is offering hiring bonuses.

According to a release, the incentive bonuses for summer camp staff aim to help boost hires for this summer.

There is also an end-of-season bonus available.

The department is looking for people to work at its Day Camps, Adaptive Camps and Inclusion Program.

Camp counselors at the day camps can earn $15 an hour while those at the adaptive or inclusion programs earn $16 an hour.

Applicants need to be at least 18 years old to apply and able to work up to 40 hours a week between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

There will be two $250 bonuses, for signing and at the end of camp.

In order to be eligible for both, day camp and inclusion staff need to work at least 180 hours between June 22 and July 29.

For adaptive camp staff, they need to work 180 hours or more between June 13 and July 29.
