CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Charlottesville High School held a graduation ceremony for this year’s seniors at the Ting Pavilion on Thursday evening.
The students got to experience an in-person ceremony after spending a large chunk of their high school time in a pandemic, with remote learning.
“Definitely bittersweet,” said Katherine McGrath, graduating student. “It’s really exciting. I’m excited for the new chapter, I’m excited to go to college, independence. But I’m also like, this is my hometown, I’ve grown up here all my entire life, went to school in Charlottesville, but it’s nice. And I have a lot of friends going to school with me, so I’m excited.”
