CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Heart and Stroke Ball returns, in person, this weekend.

The American Heart Association has teamed up with community leaders for the return of this annual event, which will be held Saturday at the Omni Charlottesville.

According to a release, funds raised through this event will help fight two of the top killers of Americans, heart disease and stroke.

“We are so excited to see the Charlottesville area once again get to come together in this fight, especially with all we’ve been through during this pandemic,” said Christie Steele-Garcia, Development Director for the American Heart Association. “We can’t wait to be able to have everyone come together, getting all dressed up, to have a wonderful evening while also helping save lives in our region.”

The ball will include live and silent auctions, a DJ, and a photo booth.

The ball will kick off at 6 p.m.
