CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (CBS19 Sports) -- Former Virginia women's soccer standout Diana Ordoñez has been impressing in her rookie professional season, as she now continues on the international stage.

Ordoñez was called up to represent the Mexico Women's National Team for camps and friendlies this summer. Mexico will face Peru on June 25th and June 28th.

In April, Ordoñez scored two goals for Mexico against Anguilla, then another against Puerto Rico.

After her impressive tenure at Virginia as an All-American striker, Ordoñez was selected sixth overall by the NC Courage in the NWSL Draft in January.

The rosters will be finalized ahead of the qualifying rounds of the 2023 World Cup.
