CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The nation's elite quarterbacks will gather in Louisiana this week for the Manning Passing Academy, which includes Virginia record-setter Brennan Armstrong.

Armstrong will be one of 45 college quarterbacks working as counselors starting this Thursday on the campus of Nicholls State for the Manning's yearly camp.

The UVA senior is one of seven quarterbacks from the ACC along with Wake Forest's Sam Hartman, Clemson's Hunter Helms, Boston College's Phil Jurkovec, NC State's Devin Leary, Pitt's Kedon Slovis and Miami's Tyler Van Dyke. The list also includes Alabama Heisman winner Bryce Young and Ohio State's C.J. Stroud.

Former standout Bryce Perkins was the last Cavalier to receive an invite to the camp in 2019. Other Manning Passing Academy alumni include NFL stars like Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott and Andrew Luck.

Armstrong is coming off a breakout junior season where he earned third team All-ACC honors and was a finalist for the Manning Award. He also broke UVA single season records for passing yards (4,449), passing touchdowns (31) and total offense (4,700).
