Appointments available for youngest kids to get COVID-19 vaccines
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Blue Ridge Health District is now making appointments for the youngest children to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
There will be multiple opportunities for people to get their children vaccinated, including one coming up on Sunday at Tonsler Park.
The free vaccine clinic will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., offering COVID-19 shots for children between the ages of six months and 11 years.
The vaccinations will take place on BRHD’s mobile unit, and second dose appointments will be scheduled on-site.
For children between the ages of five and 11 years, booster shots will be available if they are eligible.
Appointments are required for children between six months and five years, and everyone will need to wear a mask.
A consenting adult, parent or guardian must accompany every minor.
Parking in Tonsler Park is generally not available, so attendees will likely need to park nearby.
