LYNCHBURG, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Supply chain issues are even impacting road work.

The Virginia Department of Transportation’s Lynchburg District has a couple of projects in Buckingham County that are being affected.

One is on Bridge Road, where delays in getting guardrail materials have caused the project to be extended twice.

The work, which is taking place between Mount Rush Highway and Dixie Hill Road, is now expected to be completed by July 1.

Over on Chapel Road, work is underway to replace a culvert.

The road is closed between Cartersville Road and James Madison Highway and the work is expected to be done by July 1.

VDOT sends out weekly notices regarding projects, including information updating ongoing work.
