NELSON COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Thursday afternoon.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the incident around 4 p.m. on the 11000 block of James River Road in Shipman.

The suspect is a juvenile and their identity is not being officially released.

The sheriff’s office says that based on information that has been gathered to this point, this was an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the community at this time.
