CHARLOTTE, Nc. (CBS19 SPORTS) --The beginning of the Tony Elliott era is only a few weeks away and with it comes a few marquee matchups. One of those comes in mid September against Syracuse where Brennan Armstrong will face off against his former quarterback coach Jason Beck as well as his former offensive coordinator Robert Anae.

Now coaching for the Orange Anae and Beck look to rebuild the Syracuse offense much in the way they did with UVA. Syracuse Head Coach Dino Babers says Anae in particular fits in well with the Orange offense and staff.

“The thing that excites me the most is I've never had a coordinator that I haven't been... Robert Anae and I are really on the same page on things. We really don't discuss differences that much. We don't see the game differently,” said Babers, “Maybe it's because our ages are closer together but I really like where he's at right now. there are still things that we need to put in, things that we need to cover offensively but where they're at now and where we're moving to i'm really excited to see where it ends up.”
