One killed in weekend motorcycle crash in Augusta County

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred over the weekend in Augusta County.
According to the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 11:10 a.m. Saturday on Scenic Highway just south of the intersection with Badger Road.
A 2015 Harley-Davidson Ultra motorcycle heading south on Scenic Highway entered a curve and cross the double yellow line.
The motorcycle hit a northbound 2012 Honda Pilot, and the impact caused the rider to slide across the road until he hit a guardrail.
Police say the operator of the motorcycle, a 53-year-old man from Amissville, died at the scene.
He was wearing a helmet.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information is currently available.
