CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Jefferson Area Board of Aging wants to hear from community members about seniors and technology.

JABA has recently launched an online survey asking about the digital divide for older adults.

The organization says it is working on building out its supports and services for seniors who need technological support, and it wants to gain a better understanding of the need in the area.

This comes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted several issues such as the overall digital divide, especially when it comes to school-age children and adults working from home.

Older adults were also deeply impacted, especially those that already have issues with mobility and/or may be homebound. Isolation, depression and mental stress were all amplified.

The survey is also open to caregivers who are working to connect their elderly loved ones to technology.
