BLACKSBURG, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Brent Pry era is officially underway in Blacksburg as the Hokies have suited up for fall camp.

Already Coach Pry is kicking things into high gear as he noticed a lack of drive and energy on day 1. For practice number 2, it was a different story.

Coach Pry said he was happy with how the team bounced back and is continuing to instill a message of determination to his guys in the locker room.

“We've got to compete in everything we do,” stated Coach Pry, “We were allowing them to knock balls out and not challenging for the catch.

We were allowing them to get open and not drive on the route and contest a catch.

Just the will and the determination to win the rep, and it was so much better today.

I just talked to the guys, there's adversity on Day 1 for certain guys and certain units.

There's adversity on Day 2. That's what camp is all about, and they gotta keep preparing and keep working through the adversity for improvement."
