STAB big man Carter Lang commits to Vanderbilt

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- St. Anne's-Belfield big man Carter Lang will head to the Music City after committing to play at Vanderbilt.
Lang chose head coach Jerry Stackhouse and the Commodores over Stanford, who also made the Charlottesville native's final two schools. He also had offers from Illinois, Virginia Tech and Ole Miss among others.
As a junior, Lang earned first team All-VISAA honors, while averaging 18.3 points and 14.9 rebounds for STAB. Lang was also selected as one of 27 players in the country for the Team USA U18 Trials this past May.
The 6'9" big man is currently ranked No. 3 in the state of Virginia for Class of 2023 prospects and sits at No. 159 in the country, according to 247 Sports.
