ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) –- The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors gathered Wednesday night to discuss phase two of the development of the Habitat for Humanity project at the Southwood Mobile Home Park.

The supervisors decided to vote on the second rezoning phase, which consists of developing 34 acres of land to build 220 affordable units, at Southwood in November.

Dan Rosensweig, the CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville, discussed a timeline of when the second phase would begin.

“Once we move them out of their homes into brand new homes in the first phase we will be able to start to clearing and developing the second phase and kind of moving people, developing places, moving people, developing places until we’re done,” he said.
