CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Virginia Film Festival welcomed the next big Marvel supervillain, Jonathan Majors, for a screening of his latest film "Devotion" on Thursday.

The film is about the true story of two U.S. Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War.

Majors also accepted the festival's Breakthrough Star Award during the evening's events.

"It's an honor to be here, and it's an honor to just look at people and know that art does break through, and art does make an impact," he said.

This spring, Majors will be in a co-starring role in the upcoming Creed III film with Michael B. Jordan.
