It all kicked off on Friday and events will be taking place through this upcoming Saturday.

Virginia Cider Week is put on by the Virginia Association of Cider Makers, which focuses on educating people about the qualities of craft cider, promoting the industry in Virginia, and fostering cooperation within the industry that is beneficial to all producers.

Virginia is the sixth-largest apple-producing state by acreage in the country, and the cider industry has been growing rapidly in recent years.
