CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- One of the people hurt in the Sunday night shooting is reportedly doing well following a second surgery.

Mike Hollins, Jr. is a redshirt junior on the University of Virginia football team.

Sports Illustrated reports he was shot in the back and suffered wounds to his abdomen.

Hollins underwent one emergency surgery on Sunday night and then a second one on Tuesday morning.

In a tweet, his mother announced he is doing well and has been removed from a ventilator.

Sports Illustrated also reported the other person injured in the shooting is a female student at UVA.

The UVA Health System reported on Tuesday afternoon that one of the people wounded was being discharged from the hospital while the other was still in serious condition.
