GREENE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A man from Stanardsville has been arrested on drug charges.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office reports its Street Crimes Investigations Unit worked with the Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement Task Force on multiple narcotic-related search warrants on Monday.

The warrants were part of an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics involving 26-year-old Ryland Scott Ryder-Durrer of Stanardsville.

During the searches, officials seized about 35 pounds of marijuana, 15 ounces of cocaine and $750 in U.S. currency.

Ryder-Durrer has been charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II drug third or subsequent offense and possession with intent to distribute more than five pounds of marijuana third or subsequent offense.

He is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.

Officials say this investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
