CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)--  After rolling over Campbell 62-41, UVA women's basketball is 6-0 for the first time since the 1997-1998 season.

The 'Hoos got off to a slow start start, ending the first quarter down by 2, but a pair of back to back layups from London Clarkson would ignite the offense heading into halftime.

Camryn Taylor opened up the second half with a layup to extend the lead but Campbell would rally back, scoring 5 straight points. Mir Mclean would answer though starting a 10-0 run with four points of her own, burying the camels 34-23.

It was all 'Hoos from there as Sam Brunelle hit a pair of 3s to start the 4th quarter on a 11-0 run. In the end UVA's offense finally caught up to it's defense in the second half allowing the 'Hoos to run away with the win 62-41.

"I'm very proud of them," started head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton, "There are so many things to be proud of and just speaking on recent events there's still a lot of healing that's going on with this team and community and just UVA athletics so I'm proud that they're able to kind of put things into compartments and just give to their teammates and just show up everyday with the same hunger and focus that we need to continue to win games so I'm very proud of them.

The undefeated cavaliers continue their home stand Saturday in the Cavalier Classic facing Minnesota.
