UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia jumped out to a 28-9 lead and never looked back as the Cavaliers win 89-68 over Penn State in a battle of unbeatens.

UVA moves to 9-0 with the win for the program's best start since starting 13-0 in 1991-92. The 21-point margin of victory from Coach Mox's team was the largest against a Power-Five conference team since Virginia beat Nebraska by 22 points in 2016.

The Cavaliers were paced by Mir McLean, who finished with a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds for her third-straight double-double and sixth of her career. Virginia's leading scorer on the season Camryn Taylor continued her run of good play with 17 points and six rebounds as the only other Wahoo to finish in double figures.

Virginia was competing in their first ACC/Big Ten Challenge game since 2019 and picked up their first win since 2012 in the final challenge between the two conferences. UVA will look to continue their historic start to the season on Sunday, Dec. 4 when they host UNC Wilmington at John Paul Jones Arena.
