CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Tony Elliott added to the UVA running back room on Tuesday with a familiar face in former Clemson back Kobe Pace.

Pace, who was originally recruited by Elliott to Clemson, announced on Twitter he was transferring to Virginia where the former Tiger will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

This past season Pace was limited to just eight games due to injury, rushing for 77 yards and three touchdowns. During his career at Clemson, Pace has totaled 793 yards rushing and 10 total touchdowns, including a breakout season in 2021 where he rushed for 641 yards and six touchdowns.

The Georgia native adds to a UVA backfield returning a lot of talent, including Mike Hollins and freshman Xavier Brown. Virginia has now added four transfers to next years roster with Pace, quarterback Tony Muskett, offensive lineman Daijon Parker and wide receiver Malik Washington.
