CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- After selling out performances of 'The Nutcracker', the Charlottesville Ballet wrapped up an incredible season with a $50,000 anonymous donation.

With this donation, the Charlottesville Ballet is partnering with the Building Goodness Foundation, who helps non-profits make businesses accessible and helps create spaces for them.

So, the Charlottesville Ballet is able to expand their studio at Ix Park. that opened in September.

Co-founder of the Charlottesville Ballet Emily Hartka says that this gift is truly transformative.

"Finally having the space to bring dance to every body, that's what we're most excited about and our amazing community is helping us do that one gift at a time," added Hartka.

Charlottesville Ballet will also be expanding their Adaptive Dance and Movement for Parkinson's programs.

This gift also helps with scholarships and financial aid to help dancers fulfill their dreams.
