DURHAM, N.C. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The undefeated run to start for coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton and No. 25 Virginia ended with a 70-56 loss to Duke on the road.

The loss comes a day after Virginia was ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time since 2010 and snapped the Cavaliers 12-game winning streak to open the season, the program's longest winning streak since 1995.

UVA dealt with foul trouble throughout with leading scorers Mir McLean and Camryn Taylor fouling out.

Duke saw four players score in double figures led by Vanessa de Jesus with 15 points, while the Cavaliers saw Alexia Smith score 11 points. Sam Brunelle and McLean were the only other Virginia players to reach double figures with 10 points each.

Virginia will now have an eight-day break for the holidays before returning to ACC action on Thursday, Dec. 29 at home against Georgia Tech.
