CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department says a man has been arrested for a shooting that occurred last weekend on Grove Street.

According to police, 38-year-old Tadashi Demetrius Keyes of Charlottesville has been charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On Saturday night, officers responded to the 1100 block of Grove Street where they found 36-year-old Eldridge Vandrew Smith dead in a parked SUV.

He had suffered several gunshot wounds and investigators collected multiple casings at the scene.

Keyes was arrested without incident Friday afternoon.
