UVA Health implementing first-ever 10-year strategic plan
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The University of Virginia Health System is looking to improve access to care by implementing its first-ever 10-year strategic plan.
On Friday, UVA Health laid out that plan. In addition to improving access to care, it aims to grow UVA Health's network and make the health system the "best place to work." UVA Health CEO Dr. K. Craig Kent says the hospital wants the community to be involved.
"We want this to be a very interactive plan that really focuses on our community and the care that we provide. We're happy to reach out and make the connections in any way that makes us a better health system," he said.
UVA Health executives say they created the plan with the goal of making UVA Health the nation's top public academic health system.
